Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a German theologian during the chaos of World War II. He was a man who stood up for his beliefs against all the odds, a man who participated in a plot to assassinate Hitler which he was arrested. Bonhoeffer was executed as the sounds of the American army marching toward the concentration camp could be heard. The study of Bonhoeffer's life greatly impacted my own. It was largely convicting, and even more encouraging.
