I Am Second is a digital media, faith-based ministry. We have a wide range of content that we put out for believers of Jesus Christ to strengthen their faith, feel equipped to share the gospel, and to share stories of how God has transformed people's lives. Historically, I Am Second has been known for their White Chair Films, and our emails announcing a new film didn't feel like a film promotion at all.
Looking at what other film media services are doing for email promotions, we decided to go dark with our film emails. This helps create a cinematic feel, but it also helps with one of the overarching project goals, to make our different emails stand out from each other. We also made the film launch email just about the film itself, rather than having a bunch of sections and CTAs that were technically related to the film.
This project was apart of a complete overhaul of our main content emails (film launches, merch, and our monthly newsletter). The objectives of the overarching project were to:
1. Create visual diversity between the three emails. All our emails looked the same and we wanted it to be more clear what email you were getting from first glance. 
2. Limit the number of CTAs each email had. This would improve email performance and create less confusion for the receiver. 
3. Make the emails visually less clunky and more of a seamless flow between the sections of information.
